Perhaps now has cooled down abit, the watch was so hot last 1-2 years that I recall my a friend of mine in HK told me the watch was out of stock over there for awhile. And in Singapore, the AD can offer little bit of round down by I wouldnt even call it a disc.

Yes the price of the SS was at premium in excess of SGD10K in 2008.

Based on information available, Rolex churn out approximately 1 million rolexes each year, since the serial number have 6 digits, it should take roughly 1 year for Rolex to come out with a new series. But again, got to factor in the performance of economy. I think the V series last approximately 1.5 years (started in Aug 2008 to Feb 2010 when the random alpha numeric series was spotted).

I guess it will be difficult to determine the series soon with the random alpha numberic serial no. It must be a new strategy to prevent people rejecting the "old" stock offered by ADs.

But again i'm might be wrong.

I think the new alpha numeric serial no. is a good thing cos it prevents me from "chasing" after newer stocks too.

Probably depends on your budget and which model - eg SS or TT you are looking at. Rumour has it that the price will increase in May/June again (not sure if it has already gone up again since the Jan increase) so better hurry if you are getting it new.

Understand from a watch dealer, due to the weakening of Euro dollar & financial crisis . Prices of european made watches will not increase, there's a greater chance of a getting a good deal. If this is so, it will be a good time for some new acquistion.

got so much meh? i got local AD offer me $9.4k but i din pull the trigger. so far most grey dealers offer $8.9k-$9.1k lor.
