You're right! The polished bracelet links picked-up scratches and hairlines really easily... I hate it... I have the same problem with my milgauss and daytona as well....

i had a gmt2-c for a little while and i found it to be a nice, hefty and substantial watch. You get a lot of watch for your money, but i wouldnt pay >9.8k for it (i was lucky to get it for <9.5k from a u.s.a AD last october).

My main concern was the fact that the polished bracelet links picked-up scratches and hairlines really easily, but on the whole the watch really gives off a good vibe as to the future direction of the brand (at least to me).

The ceramic bezel is gorgeous and depending on the light, looks almost molten from certain angles.

yah, i found that it was not as 'rugged' to wear on a daily basis as the older sports models. the polished links quite bling too, a little too noticeable by other people for my liking; didnt really appreciate the attention it was getting.

the funny thing is, when i passed it to the new owner, he picked up a nasty scratch across two links in less than ten minutes!

          regards,

yah, polished surfaces suck big time. after a long day in a long sleeve shirt with cufflinks, think can kiss the pristine surface goodbye. that's also prob the reason why so many pple still in love with brushed surface old older sport rollies esp the 16710.

just put a scotch tape on the bracelet and you have no problem with scratches. want to enjoy, want to have it swee-swee, must use protection

Personally I prefer the SS GMT-IIc to the TT version ...

My vote will be to wait until the dust settles. However, if this is not possible because the poison has seep in too deep then go for the SS.
