How important is the chapter ring for you?

How much is the chapter ring introduced into the later Z series, M series and the current V series a considering factor to you when purchasing a pre-owned Rolex?

i'm actually torn between getting a preowned Sub (most likely w/o chapter ring) and a new V series with the ring.

In the end; decide to go ahead with the V series since the chapter ring comes with the serial number engraving as well as design looks nicer (my personal feel)
