18 year old GMT Master II, anything to watch out for?

Just got my first Rollie (albeit a really old one), a N series 1991 GMT Master II with the black and red coke bezel.

Given that the watch is almost 20 years old (born in the year where 2 Unlimited and C&C Music Factory was all the rage then), is there anything I shld be paying attention to?

if it is a 20 year old watch, and last service is unknown.

1) check the accuracy of the watch.
2) check the links in between the bracelet
3) open the case back to ensure that the O ring is still in good condition
4) check for rust in areas where not visible to the eye. case itself. lug area hidden under the bracelet

well if you are buying from non-retail shop, you can arrange to deal at Rolex service center, at the RSC, you can ask them to give a service quote for the watch. It may give you more info to how the current / previous owner handled and maintained the watch.

Most likely advise you to service the watch and also changing the seal.
