  • TT Submariner Date or TT GMT-Master II

Hi, I am thinking of getting my first brand new TT Rolex soon.
I can only get one and am very confuse between these two:-

    (a) Submariner Date 16613 TT, steel bazel
    (b) GMT-master II 116713LN TT, ceramic bazel.

In my opinion both are very nice. Which will you guys pick? And why?
    Thank you all.

The prices of both should be quite different, of course, with the GMT costing more. So if price is no concern to you, then go for the GMT.

The price after disc is like this:

      TT sub 16613 = $10K+

      TT GMT2c = $12K

hope this helps, look and ask around for better prices.

Thanks bro Ocean. But why would you rather choose GMT over Sub, where price is not the issue?

Thank you Bro Zidane for price info.
Wow, price is lost about S$2k difference?
Do you think ceramic bazel really makes such great difference for choice selection? Unfortunately the new 2009 Sub ceramic model is only available either year end or beginning of 2010. Hence cannot have a proper comparison. Sigh...
Some even said the existing Sub steel bazel model resale will go up, simply because it has seized production for this models. New ones comes with Griplock upgrade & a 18k Gold & Ceramic bazel.

Btw, do you think its important to have it with a ceramic bazel? As price difference is almost about S$2k.
Some even said that it is precisely because of this upgrade that will cause the existing steel bazel Sub reslae price to appreciate.

Up to individual, but both watches have their pros sia, I personally have the tt sub 16613 bluesy and i love it, but i won't mind to have a TT GMT2c too. My dream watch next is ss daytona.

You are absolutely correct, its very subjective to individual liking. Think I will just grab the TT Sub then.

Yes! Yes! SS Daytona damn good choice. Its my dream choice too hehehe...

GMT - personal preference+3rd timezone function+higher resale value. And what I meant by 'price is not an issue' is if you have enough money to spend = if you have no budget constraint.

Hmm... both are equally fantastic to look at, though I would agree with you that a additional timezone function may well just simply push it up a little.
Well guess I am on a budget constraint. Hence... choice is obvious lor... Sign...
