Sub LV for collection - preowned ?

Hi to all,

I am looking at getting a Sub LV for collection purpose (just to keep and not wearing it).

Do you think it is weird if I go for a preowned piece instead of a new one?

Why would u wanna buy a watch only to keep it instead of wearing it? if u r hoping that the Sub LV will be a collector piece in the near future, then I suggest u think again. For it to reach "collectible" status, I'm guessing u will have to keep that watch for a long long time. Whether preowned or BNIB, buy the watch only if u like it & intend to wear it. Juz my 2cents worth..

Thanks for the advice. I have bought some watches which I like but I don't wear them coz I scared to damage them. Sorry if I sound weird.

if u buy it for keeping it with intention to sell it in future, then go for bnib.

however, if got no intention to sell it, buy preown as the depreciation value is lesser.

If want to collect LV, better go for the very first Y series - launched in 2nd half of 2003... someone selling this now on sg roc.

Hi bro, yes, I saw the thread. But I not so hard core collector ie must get first Y series. That Y series going for 8.8K. Too expensive for me lar..

But only that the first series of LV comes with the annivarsary collection CD, from what i know.
