the main qns to ask yrself.. you buying it for
    1) investment
    2) for the love of the watch
    3) for the love of the watch NOW but hope to make min. loss when you lose interest.

For (1), then you should not buy it when it first release.. cos investors won't buy it at a premium but at retail or less.. reckon you are not a (1).
For (2) if you love the watch, then don't watch the market cos you are enjoying EVERY minute the watch is on yr wrist...
For (3), I think its stil a min. loss you are making should you decide to flip it now.. the heat for 116710LN is still burning although not as hot...

Don't bench mark against HL.. cos thats a consigned pc.. the shop draws about $200 to $400 on the sale of the watch.. his main concern is to sell the watch, not help the owner make min. loss.. Moreover, it may not necessary be a local pc.. so the owner could have got it else where, sell it here at that kind of price but still make min or NO loss??

I am unsure if you really understand what I am trying to say but the bottom line is, don't be too affected by the current price since you choose to buy it at a premium, which most probably means you just LOVE the watch.. Enjoy it dude..

Some excellent analysis here . I personally will NOT get the ceramic GMT II. To me, it's overpriced and I believe the prices will stabilise one day when they're not as scarce as they're now

yup...well bought at 10XXX....so was curious about the price now....

Love it so much that i rarely wear it...but wear my old sub more than anytime cuz dont feel pain if scratched...

It is still in box....but removed the semi green sticker cuz it feels itchy when wearing

The same AD quoted me the TT GMTIIc for $14500....actually the TT model is only slightly higher than the SS model...sometime...have thot paying too much for the SS model...$14500 - $10XXX = not enough to buy a used explorer 2 now...haha..

Anyone has the latest updated price for the GMTIIc SS?

Last but not least...went thru internet to look at many resale GMT IIc and saw that some has wty card that shows Model 116710 then Model 116710LN. Why? Is that a replica? Mine has 116710LN on the card and 430 for AD. Since bought from AD in Singapore...should be genuine..

Anyone saw this problem? Some even got paper type and not card type wty card..mine was a card type...cuz it is Sept 07..

Thanks for the plug. I noticed MinusFour on the forum but we are not related. My wife came up with the domain name when I explained to her what the COSC specs were. I had been thinking for months on a website domain name, and she just pulled that one out of thin air.

I just registered after seeing the hits to my website coming from this Board. This place looks great!

Watch Palace also quoted me that price. but i believe most brudders here think that more reasonable price shld be 10.5k or less. but problem is there is a long queue for it at various AD.......

At the end of the day, it depends how desperate are you in getting this watch. Are you willing to pay at a premium price. I have been wanting to buy this watch since last Dec but not willing to pay at that price. During early-Feb this year, an AD quoted me $10.5K but now has risen to $10.8K. But I do believe you can still get it at $10.5K. If not then be like some of us here, wait patitently in the queue.. hee..

                          Thanks for your advise ,
Actually i'm also not willing to pay for the premium price, but i just sold my Gmt II few weeks ago , and i miss it so much.
Although i still have a DayDate YG and a 16233 , but still prefer to wear the sports model. Looks like i will wait for the price to come down abit more B4 i commit.
