ur husband is lucky that you buying a rolex for him. i want also dont have.

anyway, there are difference in discount structure depends on mode of payment and type of card payment .

      mode of payment

      1) most discount - cash
      2) master/visa
      3) lowest discount - amex/diners/jcb/.....

      type of card payment

      1) master/visa *no instalment* - better discount
      2) master/visa * instalment plan* - less discount

also bargain skills plays a part. SA desparate for sales also play a part. walk-in customer will get less discount compared to regular/valued customer.

so dont be surprise that A can get 5% while B can get 8% while C can get 10%. different factors involved. once in a blue moon some SA will quote either wrong price of wrong discount. then u heng lor.

I do understand yr headache but look at it as a good problem as u truly believe yr husband would be extremely touched.

SS means stainless steel while TT means two tone (stainless steel bracelet but gold at the center of be bracelet), and usually refers to the bracelet.

I would think a decision between TT or SS depends on when he will wear it. I he wears it regularly, and is at high management or Need to reflect status, then TT maybe suitable, else if only worn on special big occasion, TT may also be more suitable. SS would be more suitable if he wish to wear it more regularly and don't want too much attention on his watch or as a daily beater if he wants to as it's easier to match.
I think u wun go wrong with any if those bros suggested. For sub LV, u have to check if it's colour of liking.

since gg to be 1st Rolex, u want soemthing that is timeless and not soemthing that requires an acquired taste.

I fully agree with you but for all we know, her hubby may love green? For me I really like the color blue so my first 3 pricy watches were all blue dial. Ü
Now it's all black or White dial.

THG is possible to get 5%. discount structure currently is pretty stiff. however, as pointed out by one forum member, there is a new piece going for a lower price than this. this is an overseas set. would you want to consider?

BNIB V Series Sub Date the price is a whopping 12% discount. furthermore, it is still negotiable. but should you want to purchase this watch, meet the seller @ RSC to authenticate the watch.

                            Hi Triton,
may I know wat risk would there be to get an overseas set?
                            - BNIB does it mean confirm it would be totally brand new?
                            - would RSC open up e watch & verify everything & certify tt every single parts are original?
                            - if I meet the seller @ RSC, do they do e authentification on e spot?
Sorry if the questions seem dumb but i am really clueless ...

not really, it have to depend on which one you like. For me, i prefer the current version, not the new version. You can go to Rolex.com to have a look at the new subs first.
