  • Would you flip Sub for GMT ll BLNR?

Im poison by this blue black GMT ll. I really like the two tone ceramic bezel and the brushed link bracelet. I believe it has a good wrist presence. Unfortunately I can't add this to my collection now without flipping my Sub. Anyone have the same thought?

You mean you like the polished center links?

The BLNR is THE Rolex Gmt that I would get (as the PepC is now definitely out of my price range) but I would not trade the Sub for it. To add to the collection yes, to trade no.

Since you said you can't add it to your collection now, why not save up and get it later?

Unless the Sub doesn't sings to you anymore then its a different story.

Either way, you have a Rolex on your wrist. Can't be wrong with either one.

Yes. I quite like the polished links and the bezel colour combination.

I enjoy the company of my Sub either at home or outside. I think I have to be patient for another eight or nine months to have BLNR on my wrist.

Then save up for the BLNR bro. Then you will have 2 awesome Rolexes to rotate.

Just browsing the PepsiC BLRO. Really stunning. I wonder why Rolex come out only white gold model. I guess the price would be $40k+. SS model would be great. Would you consider it for your next wish list?

Wish list? Of course. But most probably will just stay as a wish. Can't swallow the price. For me at least.

Reason to go precious metal with the PepC? Exclusivity.

SS? Will never happen. Just like the WG Blue Sub. You will never get to see the blue sub in SS.

At least this is my opinion.

The differences between WG and SS are by color and weight. SS is darker then WG and less reflective. But no significant difference can tell by most people if you don't put them side by side. I can only feel it when put it on my wrist.

Let Me Share My Thoughts. I used to bought luxury items used my brain, turned up don't last long or at all, because too many minds, want this cheap want that cheap, end up don't like it, yes is because you get for the price, not what your heart say so..

I was @ ROLEX fan, hope to be back soon but for now let me say something. This Pepsi that I call wonderwoman, I glad that the price tailing at PP level, now if I back on Rolex I feel proud.

Sub ND 14060m one of the most collector ROLEX, good to keep for sure. The issue now you not a collector same as me. The Sub ND 14060m was your achievement for owning A ROLEX but not A collection, times come and pass you eyeing for GMT 2C BLNR, enough $ keep the Sub ND 14060m, out of cash but must have one for achievement, no wrong with flipping another way to say upgrade. Right now sleep and thing slowly follow your mind or your heart, me I go with GMT 2C BLNR.

And that's exactly why the reservation of a particular color is important to distinguish the diff that's near impossible to tell from the naked eye.

Blue Dial & Bezel Sub - White Gold
Ice Blue Dial Daytona - Platinum
PepC Bezel GMT - White Gold

Apart from the obvious yellow and everose gold these are some of the color "reserved" for that particular models to "differentiate" themselves from the SS.

p.s. white gold daytona is diff from the SS by the tell of their bezel. Precious metals bezel have triangles markings for the units per hour compared to the SS which has dots.

The Sub is one of the iconic Rolex. I wouldn't trade it for a GMT. You got less things to worry about. No dates to reset when left unworn for days and no additional 2nd time zone hand to clutter the dial.

If I am to only have ONE Rolex, no doubt the Submariner is the ONE, though mine is the upgraded version 114060.

Add the BLNR to the stable, don't trade. It doesn't matter how long it takes for you to save up for the BLNR, matter of fact, its even better that way cause while saving up for it, you can reevaluate if you really really want the BLNR. If you are on track, it really is for you. If not, at least you have funds now to look for another Rolex that you might fancy down the road.

The Submariner - Simplicity At Its Best.

This is very personal preferrence. If I were you I will flip the black sub to get batman. But if is the green sub, I prefer it over batman. Maybe you should wait for another few months to see if the passion for batman subsides.... Dun flip and regret...
