cape cloth on gmt2 half gold tt

Hi gd day to all. Juz wonder izit ok to use cape cloth on gmt2 half gold tt? Will e cape cloth remove e e gold on e watch?

It's ok to use on your gmt2c tt... and it won't remove all of the gold but just some slightly... and don't use alot of pressure while polishing... just polish with slight pressure and check the finish between pauses so that you don't overpolish....

Thx act I gt some light scratch on my crown. Wonder is e crown ok to polish?cos I see e crown like polish finish yet a bit matt finish

well... if it bothers you so much, there is only one way to find out... report back with your results!

The crown might be very tricky to polish cos of the crown logo and the grooves on the side and might be difficult to reach with just your hands and a cape cod cloth... maybe can try using a tweezer by wrapping the cape cod on the end of the tweezers and polish... but also must be careful to not let the polishing compound from dripping into the gaskets on the crown tube cos might cause them to deteriorate... if i were you, i'd just leave the crown as is and just let rsc do the proper polishing when sending your watch for a service...

there is no "extra" polishing compound per se in cape code. the (mineral?) oil and cloth does the job.

my cape cod cloth is very old and dry - i just add a dab of olive oil when i want to use it.

so long as your crown is screwed down you should be alright.

if a rolex oyster cannot resist a tiny bit of oil from a polishing cloth, then the problem is much bigger than a "scratched crown"!

Haha.. you're right... but a scratch on the crown is not that obvious then a scratch on other parts of a watch right... i think it's best left to the pros to polish these parts of a watch...

Actually I use cape cod to polish my blue sub tt too. Just gently polish those parts u wanted n definitely will have a matt finish follow by a clean polish cloth to polish again over n it will be real shiny but only works on light scratches. Home fix DIY store will have but always sold out. Less then 10 bucks if nv rmb wrongly.
