  • Dilemma...

hi kind folks...I am trying to decide on which pre-owned rollie/pam to get with my ~$5.5k budget as a daily beater...already had a GMTIIc for special occasions though...

am looking at the following options...sorry if seems too many options

    1. Explorer I (39mm)
    2. Explorer II Polar (40mm) - not the latest series
    3. Submariner No Date (40mm)
    4. PAM 112
    5. PAM 183

    any kind advice?
    thanks!

      I like variety.
Pam 183 will complement your GMTllc well.

I would get the Pam 112, for different style, different occasion, different feel...

i own a few pams but i still don't understand them and almost never ever wear them (i have big wrists too: 8 inch).

$4k-$4.5k exp2 then use the rest on a complete overhaul at RSC + beer = best beater buy IMO.

i'd go 112... addictive straps changing, see-thru back, manual winding, 12-3-6-9 on dial, beautiful lume, the crown guard... things i wont get from gmt...!

Explorer II is a good choice.

I will use the gmt as the daily beater. Save the money and use for future servcing fee and replacement parts.

I am currently using my GMT2C as daily beater but the polished centre links really made the watch not suitable for daily wear. Am considering Explorer 2 40mm as replacement daily beater..

                          1. Explorer I (39mm) - Looks like Datejust w/o date
                          3. Submariner No Date (40mm) - No date, not practical for a daily watch
                          4. PAM 112 - May not hold value as well as Rolexes
                          5. PAM 183 - As above

My choice - 2. Explorer II Polar (40mm) - not the latest series

Either of the Pam since the rest are sporty as GMT

ExplorerII is a good choice but its not easy to find a polar. Black is easy though. What about a datejust with leather strap?
