next time when u charge to ur cc, don't convert it to SGD on the spot. Just tell them to use their currency, and lets the card convert for u. normally it's cheaper rate...

when i was in australia, when they asked me which currency i want to use. if i use SGD, conversion rate is 1.26. In the end i use AUD conversion rate was 1.19

Ya I paid in their currency but still, lousy rate The only thing I could do was to utilize my cards benefits, I takan the salesgirl because I paid a portion in cash and split the balance into 4 credit cards to maximize the rebates...lol...

I bought in July from a Singapore AD for 11670.
Got 3% back in hotel stay and $200 from credit card. So, u are better.

Actually at this point of time as long as you are able to buy below the retail price I would think it's ok lah. Moreover Rolex sports model won't drop a lot one so that's why in the end I still end up buying too. Like what most have posted here, just enjoy the watch
