Why Different Hands Set Btw White & Black Dial Explorer II (216570) ?

Hi All,

Does anyone know the reason behind for the different Hands Set Btw Black & White Dial Explorer II (216570) ?
I m not refer to the Black & Chrome Hour & Minute hands set.
I m referring to the shorter painted Orange Arrow & the shorter Lume on the Hour & Minute hands.
Why can't they do for full painted Orange Arrow & linger Lume on the Hour & Minute hands as the White Dial.

I personally like the Black Dial but prefer the the Full Orange Hand. I wonder if do the swap , what will you think ?
Definitely reject by RCS.

The pic attach is obtained frm the internet & the 2 precious r definitely not own by me luv to own it when day comes.

I understand that this "phantom effect" hands is a unique selling point of the new black Explorer II which was mentioned during the launch promotional literature. Its a homage to the vintage explorer.

actually i love the phantom effect... i have another watch with similar effect (Dievas Focal)

but I felt Rolex could have done better here as the black-out areas are not even the same height based on my observations, while the older model did feel more evenly done...

well i guess it's just me :P
