guys, I have always loved blacked out watches, but like most of you, I was apprehensive about warranty and price. However, I did take a dive and bought myself a limited edition stealth series, and I can tell you, though it cost me an arm and a leg(and much more), I did not regret one single bit.... but to each his own.
most of the major aftermkt guys, they offer their own in-house warranty, to replace Rolex's warranty for 2 years. for maintenance and servicing, u can send it back to them, or if you know of a reliable shop that can do it, then you don't really have much to worry about.
its not for everyone, but all I can say is, I have zero regrets, and the watch that I bought, I am thoroughly satisfied with the look which exudes what I am.

You are a person who really know how to enjoy wearing a watch.
Just enjoy it. Make your life easy. Cheers .

A blacked out Rolex is not for the man in the street.
I first saw the proHunter on the wrist of a friend, many years ago and was totally impressed.
Blacked out Sub on a Khaki Nato, very military.
He acquired it in London.
There was no doubt of the Rolex authenticity to me.
It takes some guts to go against convention.
Buying Rolexes with the thought of resale never crossed my mind.
Thats why, i never cared about the many beautiful scratches on my watch.
If i do sell it , i sell it, if i dont , i dont.
By the way, there is resale value for blacked out Rolexes.
The only problem is that , it started out real cool having only one small shop in UK do it.
Now its everywhere, so the uniqueness is somewhat gone.
I for one am no longer impressed by a blacked out watch.
A custom dial one would be actually more cool.
My possible next project.
Above are purely my personal opinions
To each his own. Walk your chosen path
