  • To service my Sea Dweller or not? Pls advise...

Hi everyone, can't decide on it, so here's my question.

I'm thinking of selling off my Sea Dweller, do u think I should send it in to RSC for a full service first before the sale, or just sell it as it is. Watch is Z series, so about 7 years now. Has been my daily beater, so lots of scratches on the casing n bracelet. What u guys think? TIA...

IMO when you put in $980 for servicing, it will not translate to $980 more you can fetch.

agreed. be prepared to only recoup part of the servicing cost.

sell at reduced price, give the buyer some discount and let him decide whether to service with the $$ saved

This question always linger at the back of my head. How would you know if RSC Singapore actually did a full complete service and overhaul and not just simply perform a $980 external case and bracelet polish?

Usual ball park figure around 5 years for servicing. Kind of like a car I guessed

IF used for ACTUAL Scuba Diving should consider annual pressure tests, replacement of seals every 24-36 months, full service every 5-7 years on a Rolex Perhaps.
