Cannot decide between new GMT or the new SS Yacht Master II.

      I cannot buy both.

i'd go for YM2, something un-usual since YM2 came in YG or WG most of time which is very out of affordable range

Price for YM2 SS is not cheap. Don't know if there is resale value. Don't want to be stuck because no resale demand.

Btw the 2 new ones YM 2 anf the BLNR, think the YM2 SS is very expensive for a SS watch. BLNR is quite nice the cresent on teh crown is something new that other watch dun have that I think maybe worth the while..

My thought is the same, that they priced this quite high for a ss model. A little more and i could get something else in rose gold.

YMII is a much more complicated watch and uses a more complicated/advance movement compare to BLNR, hence the premium pricing. Also, you are less likely to suffer from "watch clash"! :P

Nay for me as it's too much to pay for a function that I'll probably never use in my life.

Fair enough to say so, especially for this watch, although I dare say more than 90% of us don't really need or use the complications in our watches other than the date feature... :P

Really a little more and one could get rose gold (other model). I reckon it will be under price pressure if anyone wants to offload the stainless steel. S$20+k for stainless steel is just too much.

I did get to try it on at Watch Palace a week ago and it is really heavy and thick for my taste and not comfortable to wear. Plus really too big for my 6.5inch wrist.

on the whole, its a nay for me...

the ym ii looks weird n its functionality as a tool watch for timing regatta is not relevant to me...

perhaps it would appeal to those racing yachts...
