Datejust 116234 blue dial with diamond vs submariner 116610Lv

Hi guys,

I am in dilemma choosing between these 2 brand new.

Does it matter if 70% of the time I am always in formal wear minus away the suit.
Sub hulk seem to be more suitable for my age (27 this year), however I thought the ss datejust with diamond would be more suitable for my work.

Please help me and what do you guys think from your perspective

Firstly I also kana poisoned by Rui's 116234 Blue Dial with Roman Markers below. Very exotic blue dial in 116234.

116234 with diamond dial is a very nice watch for formal wear. Submariner too but on sporty ocassional like going for golf and looking good with polo tee. If you can afford, get both. They are all beautiful watches. If you are always formal, perhaps datejust is more suitable. I wear my datejusts and submariners for any ocassions but if long sleeves and need to be formal and wanna look good, datejust diamond will be a better choice thou. I am in my 20s and I always like datejusts diamond for many ocassions, and datejust is not for uncles only, its for man too. :P

Hi rofthelper not sure about it, I am looking at brand new ranging from 12k to 13k. I think the sunburst blue wold be better than the jubilee blue aka computer dial, what do you think ? Btw have you decide which one you are getting ?

Get the one you like more. IMO, submariner is good for both casual and formal wear. But who cares? You make your own choice.

IMO get the Sub (i've got the 16610). I brought the 116234 as well, silver dial with diamond markers but i fell out of love with it after a few months (which i now want to sell) as there's only a few occasions when you can wear it. The sub you can pretty much wear anytime, anywhere.
