Yup, throttle u are spot on with the masculinity vs elegance. I'm more towards masculine than elegant. Old world opulence is exactly why gold now appeals to me. Must b age catching up on me as well.

Now... I need to save up...

much more masculine than an SS version
a hefty blob of gold on a man's wrist is truly old world opulence.
but do note that some people can carry it while some others simply not.

a daydate is great for those exact reasons you cited and it has more elegance in place of masculinity vs the GMT2c
it is also much easier to carry as a daily beater.
and you'll be surprise at how sporty it can also be, especially the black dial one

all the best in making that decision, but please do!

go go go for gold gold gold!

IanLimm will nod, i am sure.
Can sense heavy poisoning in progess hehehee

If I didnt already have a black dial gold watch and was looking for one, this I will grab.
    Masculine and wearable daily.
I do like the solid weight of the current gold watches, like the WG Daytona and your Gold GMT2, and the sporty nature of these suit my style more than the Day Date. What attracts me to DD is the Day display, the full gold, and the relative affordability of the older series like Ian's offerings.

Yah I saw the ad for black dial full set. Black dial is unique! I dun dare to go n view cos the poison will overwhelm me. Not ready to take the plunge yet. Need to learn more still to know what I want.

Yep, wish that I can just buy the dial but they are selling the entire watch at quite a steep price. So I pass on it.

thanks for sharing! Very nice dial!

would be better if you could just buy the dial! locally, none of the shops in singapore have a DD with onyx dial.

I am now starting another collection of DD dials..

the centre links look dented or could be the reflection.
bezel looks over polished and band looks a bit loose from the pictures so unless you can get a good price..

HI Bro Damiand, agree with your "So simply and yet so elegant"....no markers, no roman numbers.. nothing just plain black!
