I tried DD with Black, Brown, Green and even Blue straps for office wear and GOLD can match all these colours!

Those are mostly the colours of sports series dials! Just that its the other way round now, the gold is on the watch while the colour is on strap. Heng you never say PINK strap!

yes the sport series gold Rolex, is a very masculine watch indeed.
much more masculine than an SS version
a hefty blob of gold on a man's wrist is truly old world opulence.
but do note that some people can carry it while some others simply not.

a daydate is great for those exact reasons you cited and it has more elegance in place of masculinity vs the GMT2c
it is also much easier to carry as a daily beater.
and you'll be surprise at how sporty it can also be, especially the black dial one

all the best in making that decision, but please do!
