I recently sold my M Series SD to a very nice chap and was actually quite unwilling to do so. In fact, I wanted to cancel the deal at the very last minute. My dad knew how unwilling I was, so being the generous man as he is, he gave me his V series SD which he hardly wears. So there you go, one door closed, another opens.
So why DJ II? I have never fancied any of the dress models, let alone the 36mm model, which is way too small on my wrist. So when I came across the 41mm, I thought it looked similar in size to the Omega Aqua Terra 41.5mm, which I once owned.
After hearing the possible price increase and realising that my ultimate aim of owning the SubC LV may take a while longer, I decided to invest in something less sportier and since I have several of the Sub series and Rolex finally upsized the DJ, it was time to zoom right into the different models available.
Was actually toying with the TT with roman markers, which a fellow bro on the forum is selling but felt it was a little too blink. AD recommended the 116334 which also happened to be the best selling model. It was ideal, in terms of discreet blink, class and styling. I was sold to the idea, had it put on and it smiled back so ever beautifully at me.
Dwelled on it for a few nights, checked the prices out in other ADs. In fact, another AD offered a $100 cheaper but I decided to buy from my SA anyway. The relationship I have with this man is not worth the $100. XXXX appreciated the gesture and the deal was sealed. I left a happy man, shielding the watch from the rain in my deeply burnt pocket as I cross the road over to Paragon to show it off to my mates.
My conclusion? DJ II is comfortable to wear, it is solid and has substantial weight, in fact heavier than the Sub date I reckon, but it is no doubt KING of class and elegance. Yet at the same, DJ II looks good too in casual sporty wear.
Hi bro coopster9 , can intro me the SA from THG whom u bought your watches from?
can ask him for some good discounts
thanks....

Hi,
I have a question on a DJ I got from HJ Watch. I got a 16200 from them and it was one with a black computer face dial. I was told that it was a "Y" series - about 2002-2003 model. However, on the bottom of the face says "T Swiss Made T" and the hands have the lume markers. The lume does not work and I thought that Rolex had stopped using Tritium in their lume markers since the 90s?
can someone please enlighten me or is the face not an original one? Should I go back and get him to change the dials and the face? I kinda like the look of it though, that's why I got it.
Thanks
Hi I'm not having any luck where I posted this so I thought I might have better luck over here. Would appreciate any response from the gurus over here

Hi there. I bought a datejust II 116334 last week. It is in steel and white gold, black dial, with roman numerals.
But the thing is, when I check the Rolex website, I cant find my watch's exact model. It has 116334 but the watch with black dial doesnt have the roman numeral, only rectangular strips.
Why is it? Im worried about my purchase now.
