Where did you purchase the bezel from?
Last time original diamond bezels were only avail on full gold models, it'snow avail on selected new models. The only way the SS or TT datejusts had the diamond bezel last time was only though switching to aftermkt bezel

Yup, I was told by the AD that even if I purchase the one with fluted bezel, I can later choose to go to RSC and purchase the diamond bezel. I thought older model can do the same after the diamond bezel is avail for these models now, people who purchase years ago may also get it done at RSC (apart from the aftermarket).

Rolex is very strict about this, although certain modifications are possible as some of the parts may fit but they will follow their product catalog, if it wasn't sold in that combination for that model, they won't sell you.

Wow, there's really so much to learn about Rolex. Understand what you mean, DA as I called RSC this afternoon and was told something similar. The lady attending to my call said something like even if similar design like 179174, the model number may not be the same with diamond bezel (i.e., the only difference between the 2 models is only the diamond bezel).

Most importantly is the fit and the look.
Many of these bezels are not made very intricately so when installed, it makes your Rolex look aftermarket.
There are a few bezels which are very well made, however, unless you hv your own trusted jeweller, you hv no choice but to trust the shops.
Anyway, the diamonds on the bezels are small and the "quality" is more of how it looks to the naked eye. Sparkle and fire and color white enough to the naked eye is good enough.
Next important point is the spacing off the diamonds and the proportion.
Get that wrong and you will regret your purchase.
Lastly, there are no certs, just the usual shop invoice or receipt.
