Is it possible to update the clasp on a P serial DD?

I am eyeing a platinum DD. Everything on it is correct except it doesn't have the updated clasp. I have read comments whereby Rolex will not sell any updated parts for watches that do not originally come with them. Will RSC sell it to me? Has anyone done this? How much will it cost?

The backup plan would be to buy a DD with all the updated parts but then it wouldn't have the dial that I want as it's no longer available. So I hope the above will work.

Hey Wee Keat,

If my memory serves me right, the clasp of the current series and P series DD is similar for president bracelet, both hidden clasp. There's shldn't be anything to change though.

Unless...you are looking at the oyster bracelet?

I think Rolex made the transition for the clasp during the P series, so some still have the older clasp. The one I am looking at has the older clasp.
