Guys, remiving the strap for this watch is far more difficult than I imagine compared to other gmts. Everything on the watch is new and tight, little gap between strap and case. Dismantling the buckle is even more difficult. Just stay with the oem rolex strap with deployment buckle till it's less tight.

Thanks bro. Yes taped the external case. I don't really care the scratches in between the lugs. Very heavily sratched after the I removed the links eith jubilee bracelets. Now my gmt dial with brown bezel is on brown leather strap, looks much better than with jubi bracelets! Wife confiscated the watch for her own use after she saw the watch with leather strap. Sian...

            master SC,
your advise followed. generic brown strap with red stitching (normal buckle though, not rolex wg deployment bucket)! think it looks better than plain black rolex straps. Thanks!

forgot to tape up lugs? practise makes perfect, so find an old watch and practise on that. once you get the hang of it, you will be able to do it with your eyes closed, and without needing to tape up the lugs.

Taped already but little piece of plastic no match for the brute force of s sharp metal edge... 1mm Deep scratch, very heart pain. Not going try it on this watch anymore.. Twice shy..
