  • Rolex Day Date 118208

I'm shopping for a Day-Date and came across this 118208 K-series full set.

The buyer is asking for S$20k.

What is a reasonable price for this watch ?

Why is 118208 more expensive than 118238 ?

For presidents the prices can vary depending on whether with the dials come with diamonds or MOP or other unique dials,
if the one you are interested in comes with diamond dial, I think it is reasonable.

the difference is the 118208 has a "DOME" bezel (see pic below) instead of the "flueted" bezel.

I have a few spare dome bezels and i fixed onto my 18238 sometimes for a change

I think there is another difference in terms of the bracelet: it's a oyster bracelet as compared the president bracelet.

i think the only diff is the flueted or dome bezel as stated by bro lan limm. 118208 or 118238 does come in both president or oyster bracelet.

my view is when you buy a Day Date, get the President bracelet cos it is only available for day dates.

Oyster bracelet is used on all sports models Subs, GMTs , Daytona etc and Datejust and date models so to me it is too common.
