the dial doesn't look anything like the usual DD styles.... it looks like a cross between two styles, which is what makes it look more likely to be refinished.Comment

hi guys,
I solved the mystery of the strange dial above after more than a year.
We initially though robert's piece maybe a refinished dial but another day date collector friend told me it is an original and rare 80s to 90s day date white gold "button" markers dial.
this is similar to the GMTs from the 80s to 90s but the GMT dial were known as "nipple" dials.
Well my doubts for the dial changed from 50/50 to maybe 70% it could be original because other than the button markers everthing looked 100% correct.....My 18K Gold Day Date "President" Collection:
