    There are policies charging 1% of total insured value with zero deductible.

    And floaters for additional (optional) worldwide and/or Singapore coverage.

        Eg:
        Within SGP = 0.3%
        Worldwide = 0.6%

          Just a note that the insured amount for home, within SGP and worldwide can all be different.

          Eg. If one owns a 200k collection but max price for an individual piece is 50k and max price for watch when travelling is 20k, it is be tailored accordingly.

              Any updates on this? I have had a look around at a few insurance sites, and the information is fairly basic. Given the relatively low premiums, I am sure there is a lot of fine print that negates a lot of options that you would not think of. Any insurance agents want to chime in here?

              Also, about valuations. Do you need to get this done prior to insurance? Where can you get it done? I could take it down to a pawnbroker or a retail store that buys them, but I am sure they would low-ball the number, and I really do not want to waste their time if I am legitimately not looking to sell. Anyone help here?

                im trying to source someone who is willing to help us for valuations especially for members who buy from them online without official receipt.

                this is the most tricky part. for example, vintage watch, how to verify the amount to be insured when there is no official receipt. im trying to get the person in charge of this project to sort it out.

                however, for current models if bought preown, there might be an issue. however, the person in charge is trying to sort it out with the brands. note that it is many different brands so it takes time.

                  One year later.

                  Any updates on this? Which insurance products do people use? How do you get a valuation?

                    i am using as a add-on to my home insurance. the valuation is the most tricky part if you do not have any receipt.

                      Insuring your investment

                      I wonder whether Rolex owners here buy insurance for their Rolexes against losses and damages. Anyone know any insurance companies here does it?

                          I believe it for theft and damage due to fire. Usually premiums will be .xx of the value of the watch. Payout will be "prorated" due to wear and tear, by insurer assessor. Unless it a super rare piece, may not be worthwhile to insure. Feel that you are better off placing it in bank vault.

                              Yah maybe you r right, the crime rate is rather low as compared to other countries. Wonder how do you set the value for insurance converage as a Rolex appreciate in value (price) every year.
                              Yup i know of a crazy friend who keeps his Rolexes in his house safe for safe keeping.
