Nothing wrong as long as you still have the originally parts when you want to sell it plus a trusty watch tech .....

Sometimes we are just bored ! Nowadays people like to change the dial of Daytona too ! Pretty cool !

As it is extremely difficult to get an original Daytona dial !

believe this is my enthuasm that you can have a different variation of the same watch instead of having many different watches or models.

Many of our bros here are love original and are purists. This is why I cannot find the parts very readily availble in Singapore. I was in MBK centre, bangkok 2 weeks ago.... it was heaven to me Beautiful big diamond bezels, unique pieces that you cannot find here in sg.

wooo, nicely done, not over the top, but just nice !!

On the other side, people also want to make their watch unique and stealth, esp among the rich and famous....
There are companies that do modifications, eg PVD , swop bezels, remove cyclops, even saw off the crown guard etc.
Here are a few links i always drool over

yeah, I wonder how many in Sg.......

Majority of Rolex owners would just change the bracelets of their sports models to Nato or mesh.. tinkering with the watch heads would void the Rolex warranty, and would be difficult to sell in the secondary market later on. Of course, as the earlier posts said, availability of parts and skills is another factor!

                            My thoughts:

We buy Rolex because we like the watch and we feel it's a good investment as well (sometimes this is the sole reason), or at least quite good captial protection. If we mod, the value will sure drop and if we keep it LNIB or even BNIB, lagi BEST with regards to investment.

Angmoh buy Rolex because they like the watch period. They probably do not really think about how much it is worth 10 years from now.

As for me I do luv all my previous & to spice my liking with new cool appearance is another option I consider to mod them. Unfortunately it's very hard to get the origin parts in Spore in order to persuade my ultimate wild wishful thinking.
