Agree that Rolex is still holding value well, but just a observation base on the sale forum but Panerai seems to have dropped as well. I did recall a 312 usually sell at $7.3K-$7.5K a while back ( 6 months ago atleast) now I see prices posted the forum at low $7 or even $6.8K...

but panerai not too far off la - at least better than rest of the brands stated in this thread

We all love watches, and buy what we like so no need to raise that topic... and we all know that Rolex is one of the best for maintaining value.

That aside what are the worst performing brands ??

My friend within an AD says HUBLOT is one of the worst if not the worst.... what you think ??

Many IWC are bad also.... are all watches the same ???
( i.e. New BP is what $21K.... within 3-4 years is $11-13K resale. )

New BP is 21K before discount. after discount $14-$15K range.....

Resale seems rather stable imo 1.6-1.8k region for the U1 despite price increase on new pieces.

dealer take in sg$1k only
if you buy brand new from germany, cost price about sg1.9k, gray dealers resell them here for $2.3k
THG after discount sell $2.5k (though they list it at a ridiculous $3.6k)

Think it's all abt supply and demand...
Rolex always holds its value because there is a high demand in the Asia market espspecially China... I can say its a more commercial brand...
For PAM, because they play it smart limit to certain no of watch manufactur per yr... Tats why for those collectors some really hard to get...

As for other models, it all depends on models... Some model difficult to find in e re sale market can hold e price well...

Now AP start to become hot in local market... Ppl start to fry this brand in e market...

rolex and panerai will depreciate to about 60-65% of retail price
franck muller will drop below 50% of retail

I am not sure about Rolex abut I do know 2 panerai model that appreciates over its retail price.
