Any one knows if Rolex 2 tone watches using the patented Rolesor are solid gold or gold plating?
I was told by a friend that older 2 tone Rolex models, the bracelet (centre link area) is actually gold plated with stainless steel as the base. This is also the case for the clasp area. How true I dunno.
For the new models, from my understanding, the centre links should be solid 18ct gold. But what about the SEL (solid end link) part and the clasp area? Are these parts actually gold plated over stainless steel?
Due to material characteristics, it is not possible to fuse gold and stainless steel together right?
