i started my research on this very informative forum cause i was going to europe in late March and i was hoping to get cheaper rolex there.

i was brought to Bucherer at Lucerne, Switzerland and Galleries Lafayette @ Paris, and guess what.

No! Not cheaper at all! Even after tax deductions!

friends ... can you advise me what people mean when they say that cheaper Rolexes can be found in Europe?

Hi sorry to hear abt your experience. Prices in Switzerland may be more ex. as compared to countries using the euro currency. However, I'm surprised that u found prices in France higher than Spore. Normally even with listed prices minus VAT, the savings are substantial. Even sweeter if u get a discount. Care to share which model u were comparing?

Cheaper in Europe does not imply that its cheaper in EVERY PART of Europe. Prices differ, including VAT rebates even in the same country. Switzerland is one of the most expensive places to get a Rolex, not to mention the low VAT rebate. Paris is expensive (more so at Lafayette!) but if u visit other parts of France like Rouen, the prices are VERY attractive. U can also check out Italy and Amsterdam.
