  • Buying a Rolex for dad...

    Hi all,
Currently, looking for model which I can buy for my dad...
So, seeking all the experts here for advice...
    Preferably:
    1. Comes with date
    2. Bracelet type
    3. Size: 40mm or bigger
    4. Half gold
    5. Budget: < $4k
    6. Pre-own is ok
    7. But not air king

Any idea which model should I get?
    Thanks guys!

Was at the AD yesterday with my friend and saw one, claim to be new model ( less than 6 months old ), bigger diameter than the airking, and with date.

The price quoted ( before negotiation ) was about 6k plus for SS with WG bezel.

But, sorry, i forgot the model.

36mm,half gold datejust...at ard 4k is possible....only thing that doesnt fit in ur requirement is the size.

40mm submariner half gold....only thing that doesnt fit in is the budget. that should cost u around 6k-7k

                    Thanks unclelau,
but right now i just wanna get some ideas what kinda models should i look out for, before commiting to buy one.
My dad got a rolex which got no cert or box as he exchanged his old one with his fren. So how can i identify which model is it?
