go with your heart. what u like is more important that any of our opinions. eventually the piece is going to be worn on your wrist. so it should be something u like n able to match your daily needs, match your dressing etc etc. if you are just collecting, y not go for both? but have u tried on the hulk? sometimes, things that looks nice may not end up to be equally the same when u put it on your wrist. =)

skin tone plays a part too! if u are fair skin, not so nice. imo the hulk stands out more on tanned skin.

Go with green. The green ceramic dial is iconic since Sub LV 50th anniversary. Moreover, the green-gold sunburst dial is beautiful. IMO, Rolex has too many black dials, like Sub, DSSD, GMT, Daytona, Milgauss etc.

Green! but black easier to match.

Thought the 50th anniversary is black dial with green bezel instead?

As the green dial is more ex than the black one by 1 k, I will get the black dial 1st. If I want the 50th anniversary look a like later, I will purchase a green bezel to interchange as to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I have asked Rolex service center b4. They will not changed it to green bezel if yours is the black sub. you will need to chnage it somewhere else.

This is what I faced when I purchased my sub 2 weeks ago. Tried both black and green sub, at the end, green won over by a mile..

I tend to agree with the skin tone reference. As this "hulk" is going to be really greenish (green dial+bezel), the color tone of your skin will play a great part. Try both and decide. Both look great.

Yes the 50th anniversary is green bezel with black dial, thus the green bezel becomes iconic since then. Anyway, I think better don't change the bezel as the ceramic bezel may break if not handled properly. In any case I love the green bezel with green-gold dial. A very nice perfect model. You will know what I mean when you see the real watch. The traditional 116610LN is quite "standard" though it's a classical model.

Yes you are correct. The ceramic bezel is different from the (older) steel bezel in the way they are fitted. It is definitely more difficult and in fact 'risky' to interchange the ceramic against the steel one if you are doing it by yourself, unless you are trained well. The cost of damage is also VASTLY different

For long lasting look, black is safer.

Green dial looks exp while black looks normal.

I would think so too. Tried hulk on my wrist at least twice but can't stand out. Sad. Still returned to black or white dial.
