  • Damage 16610 clasp

As shown in the pic (16610)... any suggestion to get repair?
Or how much does it cost to change from RSC?

boss. long time no see. how things?

is it just the flip down clasps that is damaged?

dont think RSC repair just the clasps.

most likely is replaced whole clasps.

          Anything broke on the clasp?

Can't see from the picture. Looks like bent.

If nothing broke some bending should get it working again.

used clasp (complete, with/without oyster link) go from US$250 upwards. newer ones cost more. Nikos seem to have a nice supply, as does Dr B and Puffy.

i've seen partial clasps (with the part that you need) going for US$75 onwards. i recall seeing the fliplock lever only for sale in old rolex packaging... google for "rolex safety lever" or "rolex lever repair kit" with "93150" and you should find something.

the 93150 fliplock can be replaced by most old school watch makers BUT make sure they use the correct method of hammering and peening the pin properly so that it mushrooms into a (secure) rivet! slightly different from 9315 pins which just need crimping.

another tricky part is removal of the old/damaged fliplock lever. your watchmaker needs to be careful not to damage the rest of the good clasp. it involves grinding and tapping.

              good luck!

p/s: you'll need to make sure your watchmaker has the 3-part pins if you're buying a used part, or you have to order it online (cheap).

whether rsc singapore will repair it for you, i'm not sure... no harm asking.

Recently i've replaced my Explorer 2 Clasp at RSC price with installation $224 which i find quite reasonable...at first before i came down i've prepared to pay more than $300 for a clasp. but remember that they will keep your existing clasp.... 16570 Clasp does look the same like yours, but i'm not sure if 16610 clasp and 16570 are exactly the same and can be used on both watches....

Bro, that very gd in put for the rest of member to see. Thanks... sadly 16610 clasp is diff from expII as lenght + more mechanism such as ext. link mounted in the clasp... i roughly have an idea that it will cost above $500 for submariner (old)
