  • Sapphire Display Case back for Rolex

guys, anyone knows where to change the ss case back to the above mentioned?

Oh someone did that before...was it Sheldon? I can't remember..

But my advise is...you won't want to do that to your Rolex

anyone can do it with a nice piece of metal and a lathe. Can easily be done, but the question do you want to spend that money and have that look?

Personally no i do not like see thru caseback.

I came across some forums were dicussing about Clear Sapphire Case Back, conclusion are: water proofing is affected as it only provides 30m water resistant, cost in-effective as view of movt is block most of the time when the watch is on the wrist, waste money when upgrading as you need to put back the original case back.

Last but not least, is owner's call and desire to do what to his Rolex....

But, I will not do it for my ROLEX, NEVER.

I have some information on these posted at http://www.minus4plus6.com/caseback.htm

The place to purchase them is here: http://www.beepworld.de/members97/uh...-preik/usa.htm

When corresponding with Thomas, be sure to use very basic English, or fluent German, and use PayPal.

These casebacks are pressure tested to 20ATM (200 meters); The one on my watch pressure tested to 100M (the GMT normal rating) just fine.

By words of mouth from the Supplier claim on the performance, I am doubtful about it, if water "Masok"

up to individual comfort level, like for me, my watches dont even see 5m of water so even if the crystal is limited to 50m, then it will be fine (if i wanted)

Agreed with individual's choice, may be someone should try it out, and share with out his experience... I trust SG-ROC bros' experiences. Hi Louie, want to give it a shot?
