I do love PAMs for their unique case design which stands out.
think PAM are more like the new fashion statement whilst
Rolex will always be the timeless classic that will never go out of style...

I seen uncle (late 40s) at waterloo coffee shop with a PAM. He knew I am looking at his watch, with a YAYA look - thinking I do not know what watch he is wearing.

Panerais are nice but the appeal is slowly wearing off on me.

Having one or 2 is nice but they have just too many releases with very minor tweaks / differences and they relaunch it as "regulars", "ltd edt", "special edt", "boutique edt" etc with insane prices.

366, remove the "fu" and it becomes the 367 HK Edt which ends up looking like a 111 but with a 0 movement?

0, PVD it, add some vintage markers and it becomes the 360 Ltd Edt

0 again, remove the logo, slap on a clear back and you get the 112 with some decorated movement

112, housed in a titanium case and u get the 176

183, add a logo and you get the 380

217 (grail), change the fonts from Marina Militare to Luminor Panerai and you get the 368 (albeit with 8 days movement)

249 (grail), movement changed and it becomes 448 "special edt"

233, add 2 more days to the power reserve and it becomes a 270

The above are just purely my thoughts and feelings about this brand and not meant to offend.

But oh well, whatever increases their profit margin and mass appeal.

Well, it is quite disappointing after the PAM 318 movement scandal. However, I have been thinking of getting one lately with clear case back to admire the mechanism movement instead of the solid case back. IMO, both brands have their own attraction and uniqueness which only the wearer knows best... Still loves my TT sub though

                  Agree!
Hence get one inhouse movement Pam and move on to the others

Having said that, was contemplating the Rolex ex2 vs Pam 312.
Turned off by the Rolex price n the fact that so many are sold each year
O well, will get it some day.

have 2 rolex and yet to own Pam .

still comtemplating to buy one, didnt really like that pam watches didnt come with big second hand...in my opinion
if pam watches comes with big second it would be nice... but not all watch lover share same tots like me.

No matter what, I am a die hard Rolex fan. I just wonder what the big deal with PAM as I see so many people with them, specially women. in fact, the watch look kind of out of place on a woman wrist. But to each its own.

Some of you brothers sum up the brand pretty well. Thanks for the insight. Yes, they do seem to look the same to a layman and they sure do have tons of models with minor changes identified as "special edition".

I own a few Rollies and a Pam. Can't help but I have been thinking of selling the Pam away to make way for another Rollie. Maybe just maybe, the appeal does't last that long.

I haven't been following the differences made to every model of panerai and thanks Bro Lefty for his enlightenment.
They all looks almost the same to me. Nonetheless, I find submersible range much appealing to me.

Thus, if I ever buy one, that will be the model that I will buy.
