  • Used daytona ss or brand new G series Deepsea....

    i like both..

    Can someone advise???
prices are about the same.. deepsea slightly higher...

Both are equally good. It depends on which you'd prefer. One's a chronograph, has no date function and is slightly smaller while the other is big, thicker and has a date function. Best is to try out both on your wrist to better make a decision. Another consideration will be your current collection (if you've one).

If good condition Daytona, I'll go for that.

Daytona for racer, Deepsea for diver.

i think my forearm will suits deepsea more as its quite big.. now im wearing chorpard.. 44mm.. fits perfectly...
but deepsea gives the feeling of "submarine" though its suppose to be a level higher..
i tried submarine before but 40mm is a bit too small for me.. i havent tried daytona but the looks of it really attracts me....

thats y im contemplating.... hard decision....

If $$$ is not a factor, get both since they are "rare" & sought after models. If really need to choose only 1, my choice is DSSD b'cos it's got the date function, can go to 12800ft/3900m, Titanium back, etc....However, at the end of the day, it's a matter of personal choice, try them both & also see which watch serves your daily needs more?

Dssd is my choice but the thickness is something I have to overcome. My wrist is 6" only and it looks funny on my wrist.

I have or had both before, both are very attractive watches. If both appeal to you very much and you can only have one, then it all voice down to your wrist size.
DSSD is chunky. And if you have a small wrist, Daytona will look nicer on you. Ditto.
Hope you have found what you looking for.
                            Cheers!

                              used Daytona.

                              Because
                              1. Chicks know what it is.
                              2. You can wear it with your berms & slippers, your business suit, or can wear it for sports too.
                              3. Ex-President Sarkozy wears one (black dial, like the one I'm selling)
                              4. All self respecting yakuza or gu war zai cha fit has one.
                              5. It has a complication you can ACTUALLY use.
                              6. I am selling one.

Deepsea is IMHO an abomination created by the rolex marketing dept to pander to western tastes. It has become gimmicky and turned unfortunately into a poseur's watch. 3900m water resistance and helium valve? Sure, if you like paying for a complication you will never use. It is no longer the "don't f*ck with me" tool watch worn by serious specialist divers. Sure you can wear it to your condo/club pool but people will be thinking "WTH this is only a 1.8m pool wear Deepsea SMLJ" whereas Daytona will draw silent nods by bros. Among the new Rolex range, the Deepsea has to be the the most F*cked up model refresh.
