Actually don't waste the $107. If you read up enough (Which is easy with the internet), you would probably be better in sporting any non genuine parts that them.

If anyone wants to be a collector, should not rely on RSC. I have mentioned it before and will say it again....the $107 does not let you know anything more that the watch is genuine Rolex product. Period.

If you know/learn to see, good. If you really is not confident, buy the seller. Don't just go for lowest price. At times, I prefer to pay a little more for peace of mind buying from reputable shops/dealers.

Personally, I think this' absurd! It's like you drive your car to a car service workshop to get it checked for required servicing and repair, and you get charged for it!!

Motor image charge by per hour for diagnostic if you don't use their service for repair.

I tried, the oni information thats free is: servicing starts from $850, anything that needs replacement or needs to have an actual quote will not be free... and yes, servicing fees went up too... for a datejust now mininum servicing starts from $850...

If I just ask them how much will they charge for overhauling say, a submariner, are they not going to tell me unless I pay $107??

the other day, i was told that only manual winding watches need winding. when i asked about the GMT2c on her wrist, she said automatic mov'ts no need to wind.

i almost rolled out of RSC laughing my ass off.

I'm guessing she mean that even if you wear your watch daily, a 6694 still require winding. But a gmt2c do not need any winding if it's being wore daily. I strongly believe that she has the knowledge in regards to a rolex watch on the needs of winding.

she was implying that because it is a manual wind, it required frequent oiling and an automatic winding watch did not require oiling. that was what i found very wierd.

from my experiences anything mechanical tend to need oil (not just watches!!)

hmmm.. called them last month to enquire about servicing cost (which has been raised, tt we all know), and when i asked further on whether do i need to actually service the watch (as i booked in 2nd hand), they mentioned tt the watch will be assessed first foc and then they will advise accordingly. so, now they don't do this anymore?

Regarding oiling, I recalled someone cited from Internet World that Watches make from
year 2008 onward or so....no oiling required....
