        Each to his own but I would say go for it! The whole point of mech watches is because it is mech. Therefore, it should be appreciated.

          There's an old thread where members advice against this idea as it will compromise waterproofing and RSC will not service it? Does that fact still apply?

          Nevertheless, a transparent caseback is gorgeous...

            ya always felt rolex shld show the movement but i guess it will compromise its capabilities

                Rolex has always been very conventional in their design and slow and careful about doing new stuff.... Many other companies have clear back without any compromise.
