  • I like omega speedmaster but i find that omega watches are too light and not used to the long bracelet with so many links. I still prefer oyster bracelet.

    • hi Tempest,

Thanks for the sharing I always find it interesting reading such linkage between different watches.

To me they are just homage to one another, I bet Omega not the only one.

And no offense to anybody, I do find majority of the diver watches' just working on the same base design, dont you think so? (I enjoy wearing mine very very much)

      • Rolex for me too... I have no hesitation choosing a Rolex over other make...

        • I have a Omega speedmaster 50th anniversary LE. I like the watch very much but from following the forum, it's not holding it value as well as a Rolex.

          • Why not get one of each

            • looks and design aside, omega and rolex are in different tiers
just like audemars piguet is in a different tier from rolex

that being said, all 3 are great brands with great history and heritage
its really up to individual preference

              • I would choose Rolex over omega....anytime. Rolex's build and movement is better IMO.

                        • i think a better comparison is rolex vs panerai/iwc/cartier and omega vs breitling/zenith/bell&ross/tudor

                          • Many donkey yrs ago, i brought my omega. (then the in brand among the 20s is tag, however i brought omega).

In my 30s, i brought my 1st rolex. (if i had the forsight, i would without a shadow of doubt purchase a rolex).

Rolex is different class from Omega.

                            • Most of us here will agree that there's no need to compare between Omega & Rolex. It's like comparing Benz vs BMW for cars. Tag was my "luxury" watch for a long time till I bought my 1st Rolex in 2010, and i've been hooked by the brand eversince. It's a matter of individual preference i guess, so each has his/her own opinion on this. But for me, it's definitely ROLEX for now.

Btw, i've included a link (though abit outdated) here for all to read:

                              http://www.timebooth.com/wordpress/2007/08/06/1629.html

                              Cheers!

                              • nice thread. i was caught between omega and rolex many years ago.
i would agree that the resale value for omega is much lower. but the classic moonwatch charm me all the time. each time i want to pick it up, i somehow swayed to a rolex over the counter.
my question is, do ya consider owning at least 1 omega in the lifetime?
