        Local set = $6800
        Overseas set = $6200
        Local set = Rolex
        Overseas set = Rolex
        Local set = Overseas set

The whole issue is quite simple:

You got to decide what you want. New or Pre-owned

New, oversea AD is normally cheaper, like some of our Private Dealer brought it from oversea, with warranty card unfill, so warranty is still valid.

Pre-owned don't really matter oversea or local set, Rolex is still a Rolex, so long it is genuine and original, SRC will service and then give you a year of warranty.

Bottom line is about pricing.... Do you homework, check and monitor the pricing, buy when you know is cheap or else stand to miss the opportunity, the next Rolex with similar or worse condition may even cost you more... Just my sharing...

A simpler explanation will be this:

You want a guaranteed peace of mind and ease in buying = pay more
You want a good deal but have to go thru' much hassle = pay less

It is same for most products and services.

In the end you have to decide on your long term goal.

If it is to collect high quality watches, then you should start building a relationship with an AD. If it is not, then the price should be your main consideration.

                My 2 cents.

                  Hi guys,

I got my Exp II(black dial) at SGD5800, new model without the lugholes.

that was one and a half years ago, thru a 2nd hand watch dealer in lucky plaza.

They brought in quite a number of new ones, even the submariner with date.

Wonder they still have or not now..

I think i regards that as overseas set, cos the warranty chop is from H.K

But really no difference, mine still looks excellent, seldom wore it.

P.S : What's the difference between the latest model(without lugholes) and the older ones?
                  Which series should it be?

Just curious cos seldom look into details.

To build 'relationship' with an AD need a lot $$$, you are paying a premium over the same watch as compare to pre-owned, new watches will be used after 1 year, so why pay more?

To collect high quality and expensive watches for long run is to look out for good pre-owned shops, they are experts in specific brands and based on their contact, you should be able to fulfill your dream.

Anyway it's going to cost $$$, if the long term goal is to collect high quality and expensive watches.

I was just sharing my thoughts. Sorry if I had given the impression that this was the only way to go.

Not all the collectors will go for high quality and expensive watches, collection will be based on interest or investment or both.
For those collectors based on interest, you just buy and keep, buy what you like and keep what you wish.
For those collectors based on investment, you just buy and sell, buy what other people like and sell what other people wise.
For those collector with both Is, buy 2 or more pieces of everyone like and sell all accept one for own collection.... I wish to reach this status one day.
