Hi all, thanks for all the valuable inputs...
For an overseas set vs local set.. how does the warranty work? I have noticed some sellers put the warranty card as unnamed.. but after buying, do we still submit to SG rolex? or what?
Also is the warranty for an overseas set valid in Singapore?
For servicing wise, will there be different charges for an overseas set as compared to a local AD set?
Sorry for the many many qns... newbie here
Thanks once again lao jiaos here!

Same.. as long as your warranty is still valid, RSC has to honor it and service/fix your watch...

Servicing wise pricing will be same as a AD local set ?
Thanks again!

Price is the same...
The seller will submit for you but even if it is not submit, as long as the card is dated and valid, RSC will honor your watch...

Thanks!!
By the way you happened to know the retail price for a white face explorer II at the ADs now? And i noticed that discounts are usually at 15%? (i gathered from the forum).
Any recommendations where i should go do my homework so that i can decide between AD and overseas ?

i suggest u look for them in the sales section. there are a couple of BNIB for sale. their pricing better than AD after discount price. however, u better take the watch to RSC for authentication @ 75.if you have issues with your account, click here for self help and read forum rules here. 90% of your answers can be found in Forum FAQ

Savings are very significant I would say...usually almost 1k...it's more like trust instead of pricing when it comes to overseas set.
If you prefer to buy from AD then do some leg work at Watch Palace,THG,Cortina or Dickson to gather infoLast edited by Darkangel; 19-08-08, 11:03 PM.

Just follow your heart... my 1st rolex was bought from swiss... not a local set, after that, some from local some from overseas... so just follow your heart... as long as it is a rolex, it wouldn't be wrong...
