        • It seems like Tudor does not have a standard logo.

It's the rose in the Black Bay and the shield in the Pelagos.

          • That's their logos dude. Tudor started off with a rose motif and later on migrated to a shield. Looks like the rose motif is making a comeback...

            • I recall having read that Tudor started using the "Tudor Rose" which symbolised the heraldic emblem of England. It originated from the Tudor dynasty. The "Shield" logo later replaced the Rose sign in the 1960's. So you should see the newer models with the Shield logo. As the Black Bay is a re-edition of their vintage model, the idea of using the older Rose sign is more appropriate. I think the Pelagos is a new model on its own right. That's why the Shield.

              I stand corrected.

I know Tudor use both Rose & Shield as their logos but your explanation is great!

just bought my first watch after looking around for a couple of weeks. the red bezel and rose emblem was what attracted me. i did try the pelagos, but too dull for my liking. the more i look at blackbay the more chio i find it. it has a modern vintage feel. like now it feels modern, but maybe 5yrs down it will feel vintage. i think i can wear this watch for many years.

it is a 41mm, comfortable size even if my wrist is small. compared to submariner in terms of looks, i think blackbay appeals to me more.

                          • Good news for Black Bay hunters, I see that stocks are coming in local ADs in healthy levels. Quite a few ADs I walked into have ready stocks. Discounts are rather modest but bracelet models can be obtained for low-mid 4K and leather strap models a few hundreds lower.
