The Pelagos is a watch with split personalities. On one hand, it's bloody muted, stealthy and low profile when worn in daylight. (Even though the thickness does somewhat stand out), on the other hand, the lume screams like a bit*h the min you transit from daylight to low light environment (like when driving into a basement car park)
I, for one wasn't blown away by the Pelagos when I first saw it in the flesh. But somehow, each time revisited it, the overall stealth look grew on me a little more.
Nonetheless, like what most bros here say, buy what you like.
