          Rolex Coronet Etched on crystal

Hey I was wondering from which series of the sports series in rolex have this on the crystal? I goggled but cant seem to come to a conclusion.

Would help determine authenticity also when selecting watches in future.

          Look for this

          Genuine

          Well there are fake too..

So how to tell visually real or fake?

            On the authenticity issue...

How to tell? Very easy..Frequent or daily interaction with genuine Rolexes and also playing around with fakes. Decent amt of understanding and knowledge of Rolex. It takes some time...before you can differentiate.

What I am saying is...u must have knowledge of both fakes and genuine articles before it's easy for you to tell.

As far as I know....the whole professional series have the etched crown as long as it's F series or later most have by then.

Started somewhere in 2001 or 2002...

My humble opinion is that some of the crooks can also change the movement on your real rolex - with the real etched coronet crystal and real Rolex case, and sell you a franken watch.

The best precaution is still to buy from a trusted seller or deal at the Rolex Center.

                        "Don't tempt the Gods"

I saw a thread on another forum recently, it was a 16660 seadweller, everything looked correct until the owner checked the case markings - it said "stailess steel" rather than "stainless steel". Movement on the watch was correct. And the engravings of the words "stailess steel" on the watch was also very close to the original type of engraving, which suggests that the crooks have the correct Rolex engraving tools as well.

Of course agree that rarer for fraken watches to be found in newer models than the Vintage ones, but there will always be unethical people out there who might try to do funny things to watches, so no harm being extra careful....

Of course agree with you 2...better safe than sorry.

If you know your Rolex...99% of the time it's alright...that 1% is just unlucky.

I trust myself and other sources I am good. Haha

if you are spending $xk on your watch, doesnt hurt to spend the extra $75 for peace of mind. Of course if you can be comfortable that you are getting real deal, then you are OK.
