Just to check , went to ION THG and get the quote for 116610LV . The gentleman quoted me 14k and said no discount . Selling above premium price . The price is just too steep right ?

U can easily get in for S$10k+ (after exchange & tax refunds) if purchase overseas, particularly Europe. Think the ADs are pricing in ridiculous margin for minimal effort....

the best part is he mentioned selling at 14k premium price . I went another another boutique and was quoted $12.5k for G series .

Mine is G series as well. Believed the latest should be alpha-numeric series. In any case, this is not a limited edition watch so the hype will need to die off some day.

Reason being supply and demand and it's still relatively new. Only released last Basel. For new Rolex sports model, thr price is always steep and sell above list. But when you wait for a few more years, the price MAY drop. But by then the listed price may or confirm will go up and then even with discounts, the price will surely be higher by then. IMO, if you manage to find a good deal and you do like it, grab it. Otherwise by then you may pay even more.

quite pissed when the gentleman in ION THG quoted me 14k . After which I went to THG at knightsbridge and was quoted 12.5k by a lady. So much of a difference . Best part is , the sales lady attending to me mentioned that they only sell the " Hulk " to regular .

what, they make it a point to only sell to 'regulars'? only? ie. people who buys from them all the time, sometimes coined as 'VIP's? -- so if a tourist walks in for the first time they don't pull out the Hulk?
