Share my experience as buyer kena play out case.
Met up this seller at his work place but end up giving lame excuse like can't find the particular item now...blah blah. And offer other items instead This is world best. In the first place why confirmed with me the meet up
IMHO, both seller and buyer have to respect each other. What goes around comes around. One day, these morons will get it6694 & 116520 for now...

If the seller is disappointed because a buyer decides to get the good from a seller that offers a lower price then the seller must also understand the disappointment of the buyer if after acquiring the good to find out the very next day that the same seller has put up a similar good (same model and series) for sale at a much much lower price. And I do mean at a much much lower price.
I do speak from experience. Although I was disappointed, I had to accept the fact that I made the decision to buy and thus have to live with it. This is the "rule" of trading. C'est la vie.

Well say ejaan,
I believe in open market concept like this forum, prices are more or less quite transperant. The concept of seller wish to sell high and buyer wish to buy low is always apply in any open market, is only when can the two meet for a deal? It really depend on the agreed selling and buying price, and this transaction is much affacted by law of supply and demand.
Looking at the forum, it really reflects the current market, is buyers' call as economy has tighten everyone's belt with so many financial institute clossing, unless sellers can hold on to their watches, if not you have to package your price to be competative or adjust and appear to be cheapest, it sure will attract buyers, so as seller, you can't stop buyers looking for better options, as I say, is buyers' call now.

Yeah, agree with Tomcatf... Market has gone soft. Doesn't help with the US stock market having so much bad news.
Anyway, life's too short. Low ball, no ball, no show, etc... Can't help it. Just don't take it personally.Time is too precious to be measured by a cheap watch...

A little thought
Reading on... I view this on 2 separate camps. First, if you are a watch dealer, or your main job is to sell watches, then I don't see how this can be an issue. You will have to accept that this is part and parcel of the job. However, if this is only a "hobby", meaning, like most of us here, we love watches; buy and then sell, then yes. It can get annoying to encounter people like these. We all have our own jobs and selling watches is just an 'ECA'. So those in the 2nd camp will have more reason to feel the annoyance.
So, my advice to all: If you are only going to view/look-see a watch that you may/may not buy, please visit watch shops/companies and get the feel of it first. Thereafter, if you decide to acquire it at a lower price, then approach those sellers (not dealers) in the forum. Unless of course, the watch in question is not easily available outside, then the understanding must be there. However, unless the seller is a watch dealer him/herself, then the expectation of a better service is higher.
Just my thoughts to share. Please don't flame me.

I think the points got a bit mixed up here - don't understand why they are related...

b) buyer buying and finding cheaper alternative and then disappointed - please, this is what the free market is about, why should the seller understand this "disappointment"? the buyer failed to do his homework or he just was not lucky enough to find a cheaper piece.
