Cost for Milgauss Sapphire Crystal?

Hi All,

Any1 have any idea the damage of changing the whole Sapphire CrystaL of Milgauss GV?

I just knocked mine onto a glass door and the whole crystal broke!!
Wat poor quality..Worst is i juz purchase the watch this Apr 2011...heartpain

Oh dear... Sorry to hear the mishap, really heart pain. :-(
Must be a very hard knock to crack the glass. Guess you need to call up RSC to check on Monday.
The price difference between a non-GV and GV watch is 700+, so lets hope the replacement would not be that ex.

i think they won't include workmanship as its still under warranty.

Visited RSC. They quoted me total damage of stunning SGD1.2K!!!
Replacement of e green crystal SGD400++. And they examine and found that ther are traces of crystal dusts on the inside. To play safe, they advice me to do an overhaul service which cost SGD700++. I had a long tok neg on e price. But they r v pesistent..say unable to giv any discount.. coz they nid to account for to Switzerland..

A small knock but a BIG damage to wallet.!

I heard from e forum tat overhaul includes a replacemnet of the crystal? true? i still waiting for my AD SE reply on this qn before i called up and clarify w RSC.

It's sad news to see the damage & cost of repairs. But if there are crystal dust in the watch, overhaul does make sense.

haizz.. have to get do with it.. no choice.. dun repair oso cannot.. oredi spent so much on the purchase...and its 3mths old oni..die die have to do the repairs..c open liao..

Hmm.. e impact wasnt v big actualli.. i knock against a transparent glass door of my fren hse.. the dist away was like half a footstep away..n somemore its a flat glass door. i guess my hands positioning sideways tts y e edge hit e door. The glass door is left w minor scratches while e GV crystal broke..

Worst of all..e servicing needs 4-5weeks..now im watchless..

I guess sometimes, it is the angle of hit. My house marble floor has a crack at the side, because long time back during a mahjong session, my friend accidentally dropped a glass cup and bingo, hit the weak spot. Maybe you just get a reasonable seiko to tong you for few weeks if you send for servicing.
