dont think so, used my MB pen (a promotion gift) until the bloody thing broke. yes broke! and threw it away.
definitely not the slightest bit crazy over any pens.

the silver carandache has lasted me over 12yrs and i still use it daily.

both are inexpensive pens under $300 and both were gifts.
