You track day/night using the 24 hour hand e.g. if the hour/minute hands shows 2 o'clock and the 24 hour hand points to 14 on the bezel, then it's 2 PM. Of course you have to first set the 24 hour hand correctly before you can use it for tracking day and night.

it depends on the person who wears the watch. for a pilot, maybe the stopwatch and 2nd time zone are useful. for some people who has work related matters with another country in a different time zone then the 2nd time zone feature is useful.

as to how to track different time zone, it depends on which way you are more comfortable in using the Explorer II bezel. the normal display time, i usually set to singapore time zone. the red hand aka 2nd time zone, i set to the other country's time zone. say i want to have london time, current time in sg is 8pm, then the red hand will be @ digit 12 on the bezel. however, you can do it the other way, use the red hand to set sg time, the hour hand to set london time.

Actually, I realised tat with a movable bezel on any watch we can use it as 2nd time zone. Any other good idea to use a watch for other than time and date only?

Sorry TS hijacked your thread a bit

Actually personally I prefer home time to be red hand...and the hour hand to be set in 2nd time zone. This is because the hour hand can be easily adjusted by the hour...unlike the red hand where u have to adjust and turn the crown

                  Congrats!

Actually either one would be a great item to own as they are both Rolexes! hahaha . Anyhow I went for the Exp II as when comparing the 2 largely due to the fact that I have the Exp and was looking for a white dial watch.
