I know you mentioned Singapore but check out TZ's watch school if you haven't.
Can do own time own target just have to buy the materials. I have not done it though. I thought price abit on high side.Comment

Should be quite interesting as you meet other like-minded people and can exchange watch knowledge.
I went through a Mech. Watch Repair Course by JW. Each time only two students accepted. I can't remember how much it cost as it was many moons ago. Anyway, it's irrelevant as inflation then was low, rental was low, so it is logical that price would be higher now. Nowadays, JW also too busy with servicing to conduct courses so no more as far as I know.
However, I think it is a very good experience to actually have the practical on watch making/servicing for watch enthusiasts.
